Compared with animal gelatin, plant-based gelatin has high viscosity, low elasticity and shrinks more after drying process, so traditional single step die roller sets are not suitable, so we need to do some improvements.
- Because plant-based gelatin(starch gelatin) has low elasticity, when filling volume is the same, plant-based gelatin need bigger pocket to guarantee the same capsule size as animal gelatin. By this way, after content filling, there will be enough space left to prevent insure seam.
- Compared with animal gelatin die roller, the arrangment(the distance between pockets) of the plant-based gelatin die roller should not be too close: increase the space between pockets to prevent net gelatin breakage.
- Using triple steps(multiple steps) instead of single step around pockets. Because multiple steps help to enhance the seam rate and prevent leakage.
